Backgrounds and Fonts

Readability of text over the background image is largely determined by the browser and display. While the present map200.gif is pleasing to me on a Trinitron (I spent many hours creating it), some may prefer to override with white or gray.

Find preferences (Netscape) or options (Explorer) and proceed logically with color and background settings. Uncheck use windows colors and select a background.

To make the font any size or type, find the view or font setting and make a click or two.

Monkeying with the monitor might also improve the view. Wheels may be located behind a hidden panel. One reader reported electro-grime on both sides of her anti-glare screen was greatly reducing contrast, which brought to mind the technology-run-amok theme of a favorite movie, Brazil.
